big week
mornin everyone… please start the mega prayers. we have a big week with jackson this week. we’re heading in the car as soon as i finish this blog, for his 6 month check up (even though we’re a little behind with it). the scale at the pediatrician’s office is really the only scale paul and i trust since jackson has been weighed on it from day 1. we will update the pediatrician on all of jackson’s happenings and hopefully see that he has put a little bit of weight on. wednesday we meet with a very highly recommended geneticist. this geneticist takes on the “quirky feeding cases” and will work as an investigator, laying out my medical history, paul’s medical history, and jackson’s story. he will then piece the puzzle together in the hopes of giving us the long-anticipated answer as to why jackson doesn’t eat. should this geneticist give us hope that we can combat jackson’s feeding issues without surgically placing a g-tube, we will oblige, however thursday is our surgery consult with the pediatric surgeon to schedule us. so it’s a race against the clock…. we are attempting to get jackson through this week without his ng tube in since it is so disruptive to his sleep and his little body. it’s tough though… we’re back to battling the bottle and every other way we can orally feed this child. i will post pics later though. we got some really fun shots of jackson watching the florida/georgia game this weekend. huge blessing too!!! we had a surprise visit from uncle nate yesterday, which put a smile on all of our very tired and worn out faces.
