can’t do it

i’m not ready to cut my magoo’s locks of love, curls of wonder, hair-a-plenty…  i’m just not.  the curls get curlier with each sweaty nap that he takes and right now, the thought of cutting this off makes me want to cry…

you lookin' at me?

you lookin' at me?

sure, when we bathe him and his hair is all wet, it comes down to his shoulders.  and occasionally constantly people are saying what a pretty girl we have…

whut? you goina do sumthin bout it?

whut? you goina do sumthin bout it?

ah, but the curls…  the glorious curls

you know you're jealous.

you know you're jealous.

can’t do it.  not goina happen.  i love my earth-day-birthday hippie baby’s curls.

good call mom!

  • DON’T DO IT! You keep those adorable little baby curls as long as you can. He’s adorable!

  • Susan says:

My lovely children had straight hair- I had no choice. DON”T DO IT!!

  • people constantly tell me “he is so cute!” referring to chloe. i guess we balance each other out!

and no. cut those luxurious locks and i cut you.

  • Might as well let ‘em be long and beautiful while you can!

And thank GOD it’s only my kids who are sweaty during naptime. What is UP with that?

  • PrincessJenn says:

Don’t you DARE cut those beautiful curls. They are just too gorgeous (and so is he!)

  • RockstarMama says:

Awww… sweet! My mom repeatedly has harrassed me to cut my daughter’s hair, which isn’t even that long. She told me my precious bean looked homeless. Ah, that good old unconditional love.

  • Tricia says:

And you told me I had cute kids? He’s gorgeous! And who gives a shit about the people who think he’s a girl? Get with the program people! Boys have long hair now and look damn cute while doing it. (Not the big ones though, only the littlies). DON’T cut those curls. I cut my daughter’s beautiful curls at three and the weight of her hair (it’s really thick) meant that her hair was staight after that. I always regretted it.
    : ) Have a fun weekend!

I don’t get the long curly hair on boys thing. My nephew had the same thing and he got called a girl about 1000 times. If that happend once to my son he would be sporting a crew cut in under an hour.

  • Jen@momalom says:

Oh, you remind me of me. My oldest had the most luscious blond curls. I REFUSED to cut it for a very long time. Hold off as long as you can, and enjoy every ringlet!

  • He has plenty of years for haircuts later!

  • Andi says:

Yeah I get the opposite too – HE’s so cute! Mostly because I have as much blue and yellow and green as I do pink for her.

Don’t cut it – I only wish mine had those curls :)

  • mommymae says:

our boy was the same. i wasn’t offended at all when people said ‘she’ was cute. i would embarrass them when i told them we thought ‘he’ was just so pretty they couldn’t tell the difference. we just cut his curls last fall b/c it started to look really bad, but are trying to grow it out again for the summer sun.

  • Do not even THINK about getting it cut!!! Curls = AWESOME! He is so stinkin’ cute…I can’t stand it!

  • My Bottle's Up says:

    “stinkin’ cute”… or… just stinkin’… i dunno… :) ~

    thanks!

  • Idoia says:

Oh forget it. You can’t cut those curls!

  • Kellee says:

Awwww, seriously cute! I wouldn’t cut them either. Baby curls are beautiful.

  • Jenn says:
