Shame on you. The hateful comments have been taken way too far.

A mom writing a story about how she was affected by the TSA (Which come on, we ALL KNOW what a pain in the ass they can be) has been morphed into this monster? All because of an emotional post? Lying or not; it was written off of extreme emotion and whether you have anxiety or not; come on, we all know things that be blown out of proportion.

I’m talking in circles now, because you all disgust me. Absolute disgust.

So help you God, that nothing like this ever EVER happens to you others.

Free speech, and the ability to reach mass exposure instantaneously, can be a double-edged sword.

Your story caught my attention, and immediately I wanted to know more – then the TSA decided on a rebuttal, and I read and watched carefully. I still wonder if that rebuttal was good-natured and apologetic, or a slanderous attempt at damage control.

The TSA is becoming a notorious symbol of American fear – the result : bullying. Your experience was clearly and undertandably upsetting – a ten minute, or twenty minute delay, caged in a plastic box, being treated like a number – an inhuman inconvenience in a slow and cumbersome machine built out of fear and paranoia.

I know the true story lies in between – you’ve already undermined yourself with mentions of xanax and anxiety attacks, but I don’t care about that.

Stay strong, tread carefully and thoughtfully, you’ll come out on top. I still have faith that our fortunate access to mass media and free speech, will bring the truth out.

PS. check with your hosting and domain registration services. Some have posted contact information which should not have been listed with such malicious intent. Free speech should enable open argument, but not mob-style persecution.

And to Fish who posted a link to all of her personal info – that was downright cruel. The woman is a mother with a young family. Don’t be such an asshole. The meanness of people absolutely blows me away.

Hang in there Nic. Whether you’re lying or truthing or somewhere in between. Take care of yourself and your little family. And surround yourself with people who will,too.

In the video I saw portions were “blurred” out during the wanding by the agent. What evidently no one has realized is that she said her son was “out of her sight” not in another room or across the airport. That could be as simple as her having to stand with her back to him while he was in the stroller. That’s what I’m choosing to believe. I may have to go reread her post.

The video I saw was also pieced together from several cameras if you will notice that if easily “follows” her direction each time while keeping her in view. I also know that it is possible for there to be more than one camera trained on an area. Whose to say the video wasn’t editted after the fact?

Personally just having to be in an airport with that many people and not being able to have my hands on my child the whole time or at least being able to keep my eyes on him the whole time would totally freak me out.

Ultimately….to all you anonymous posters and people who are calling this woman a liar or troll or worse, I have one question. Were you there?

I can’t seem to get past the first part of the video, but no matter – I don’t really care.

Don’t listen to a word of what anyone says about your character, your ability to be a great mother, your skills as a writer – none of those people know you. Or if they do, shame on them for turning on you in such a way.
